The Ljubljanske mlekarne dairy company celebrated its 40th anniversary.
To mark this day, we staged an event attended by the company’s business partners. We conceived it as a nostalgic documentary film that took the guests through the four decades of the company. We displayed a custom-made film for each decade, followed by a band or musician that has left an indelible mark on a specific era. We presented important historical events around the world, in ex-Yugoslavia and in Slovenia and interwove them with the growth of Ljubljanske mlekarne and Alpine Milk as its leading brand, thereby conjuring up a feeling of nostalgia in a pleasant atmosphere.
The historical milestones of the first period (1967–1977) were presented by renowned Slovenian composer Mojmir Sepe, while the music was provided by the “Pepel in Kri” band, whose songs were a string of hits at that time. Events in the following decade (1977–1987) were narrated by the singer Anja Rupel with the Hazard band providing the music. The third decade (1987–1997) was presented through the eyes of the skier Bojan Križaj and singer Vili Resnik. The last period (1997–2007) was narrated by the TV host and actress Katarina Čas, who also announced the performance of the band Siddharta. Business partners and friends of the company recounted their memories long after the programme had finished.
