In the estimation of Zavarovalnica Triglav, insurance fraud in the Slovenian market reportedly total an annual 113 million euros, approximately 55 million of which involve Zavarovalnica Triglav.

Zavarovalnica Triglav adopted the Zero Tolerance to Fraud Policy in 2009 as a commitment to ensuring honest, responsible and legal operation. At the same time, they set up a Fraud Detection and Research Service (SPORP). Being aware that SPORP alone cannot prevent or detect all frauds, they decided to pursue the goals of zero tolerance by improving internal and external public awareness. An integrated awareness campaign was developed in 2013 for this purpose, which helped meet the targeted goals – achieve an awareness and understanding of insurance fraud as an unlawful and unethical act, as well as to improve the knowledge and understanding of the zero tolerance policy on fraud and operational procedures in Zavarovalnica Triglav (e.g. how to report suspected fraud).
