In May 2013, we officially inaugurated one of the largest and most technologically advanced distribution centres in the southwestern region for the Rastoder d.o.o. company. The distribution centre represents a milestone in the Slovenian logistic and food.
The »Derby« distribution centre was inaugurated by Izet Rastoder, CEO of the Rastoder company, mag. Stanko Stepišnik, Slovenian Minister of Economic Development and Technology and Zoran Janković, Mayor of the city of Ljubljana.
This important acquisition for Slovenia was accompanied by a rich musical and event, featuring many prominent musicians from Slovenia and the Balkans. Over 700 important players in the international business arena and members of the Slovenian show business were present at the event. The guests were impressed by the facility and excited by the accompanying programme, which featured a rich, colorful, Carnival-like atmosphere, with dance inserts that evoked the dizzying street rhythms of the Carnival in Rio.
The social evening of fruit and vegetable delicacies was accompanied by a rich musical programme, featuring Jan Plestenjak, Nataša Bekvalac, Colonia, Daniela, Hari Mata Hari and other prominent musical guests who celebrated the inauguration with their performances.
The guests saluted the important acquisition for Slovenia and showed their support for the Rastoder company, which will, thanks to the new distribution centre, be able to increase their import and export of exotic fruit and vegetables, both locally and in a wider region. With a more efficient and faster delivery of high quality and safe products, they will continue to promote a healthy way of life for lovers of high quality fruit and vegetables, in Slovenia as well as in Europe. The Rastoder company will continue to follow the trend of acquiring even fresher, organically grown produce. The »Derby« centre represents an important acquisition for Slovenian fruit and vegetable farmers, since the Rastoder company will be promoting products of Slovenian origin and in so doing, they will help develop Slovenian agriculture. Great news for all those who swear by quality local products.
