Our series of print ads Cockta Hard Times and a poster Projections of reality / Boat are shortlisted at Europe's Premiere Creative
Cockta Hard Times series were created for Atlantic Grupa and a poster Projections of reality / Boat was designed for Festival of migrant film.
“Due to authenticity I typed the sentences in the ads using an old Yugoslavian typing machine. I realized that despite of all the shortages in those days (which was the fil rouge I used in ads), the real luxury was time, which run much slower,” explains executive creative director Aljoša Bagola, who designed and developed a series of Cockta Hard Times ads.
Projections of reality / Boat poster, portrayed by Pristop’s the art director Martina Kokovnik Hakl and copy Drago Mlakar is a story of hope and unknown paths. Through the play of light and shadow different projections of reality are depicted, drawing a contrast between negative media portraying and finding solutions for refugees. “The story depicts the obstacles on a way to a better life. The light shines on a ship, presenting new hope. It leads into the future, which (at this time) isn’t completely revealed,” explains Martina Kokovnik Hakl.
Epica Awards is the only prize judged by journalists working for marketing and communications titles. Shortlist is available here, the winners will be announced 19th and 20th of November.
